Ilkley’s Tom Adams beat some of the big guns in fell runing circles, at Sunday’s windy Soreen Stanbury Splash near Haworth.
Adams finished in 45:45, ten seconds ahead of Rob Jebb after taking the lead in the last mile of the hilly seven-mile race.
Otley’s Matt John ran well to finish ninth in 48:52, while Liam Dunne was 20th in 51:21, Chris Stacey 104th (61:54) and Don Buffham 340th (85:19) were Otley’s other entrants.
The first lady was Jo Buckley (Calder Valley) who finished 47th overall in 55:36, but Ilkley Harriers took the ladies team prize.
Kate Archer was their top finisher in 107th place overall in a time of 62:06.
